Okay, if you don't like art, you've probably had to at least take some sort of art appreciation class sometime in your education history, so I know you'll recognize quite a few of these art pieces! The band Hold Your Horses! has just thrown a twist on a classic! Great music and very clever.
I don't care who you are; we all have a favorite Michael Jackson tune or two. I know the guy had some problems later on in his life and I will never forgive someone who takes advantage of children, but he had some good music. Especially before all the problems and weird medical stuff. This guy tries to reenact some of Jackson's dance moves and runs with it!

If you've read some of my past posts, you know that I enjoy reading other blogs with either an RPG or tech flare. As such, I get daily updates from the Geeks Are Sexy blog which always has some deliciously wonderful update, and today was no exception.
From the Uruguayan producer Fede Alvarez comes this neat 5 minute short called Ataque de Panico (Panic Attack) 2009.
An interesting tidbit of information is that Fede Alvarez only spent about $300 USD to shoot the entire 5 minute short, and because of this great work, according to Collider, Alvarez has signed a deal with Sam Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures. Collider continues to say that Alvarez's deal "is reportedly in the six- against seven figure range (meaning that he’s being paid $X00,00 and if the film gets made he gets a bonus amount which would bring his salary to $X,000,000)."
That's really impressive and I hope that film and more get made. I look forward to seeing more from Fede Alvarez as his work is just remarkable! To read more about how he made Panic Attack, check out Alvarez's comments here!
Wow, I was deeply disturbed by this. It was enough to share it with all of you too, but remember, some things, even if they are safe for viewing at work, can still scar your retina. That's the only warning you'll get.
Truly some videos fitting of today's theme! The wife was working at her university job when her supervisor said that before she could continue, she had to watch these "studies." She found them hilarious, she shared them with me, and now, I'm doing you all the same pleasure. Enjoy them!

This is a great video, but I have no idea how this guy hangs upside down. This would scare the wits out of me if I just came up on this guy, but it is definitely worth the watch though.

We've all been there. We're driving home, to the office or wherever and actually going the speed limit when we come upon a street full of annoying speed bumps. Even though we're already going a safe speed, we still hit the large bump which can be jostling for the car and for us. At best, it's a minor annoyance, but there's a company looking to change things.
Mexico's Decano Industries is developing a smart speed bump (sadly, the company has little to no web presence as I learned from Timothy Sykes' blog). Ideally, as long as you're driving the speed limit or below, it will stay in a depressed state - allowing you to travel over it without the bump. However, if you're like me and tend to have a lead foot, then this intelligent tech bump pops into action and slows you down (in other words, it does its job).
At present, that seems to be the only photo we have of the device, but Decanoboss on YouTube has given us the video animation below, along with a short description, showing how the smart bump should function (ideally, of course).

It came to my view at a great time as I am still currently in the job hunt. Now, I'm not saying that I've got it as bad as these great people nor am I saying I could do what they have done. What I am saying is that I can stick it out and keep taking those rejection letters and emails knowing that it will only make me value the job I get even more. So, without further ado, your video.

I came across this marriage equality PSA video on another blog I follow: Today on the Interwebs. It's a pretty great video, and for me, it puts a more personal touch on the issue.
Wow, apparently there were a couple of other things that decided to come across my desk and computer that literally beg to be shared with you. This first is a video of an Asian gentleman playing the bass guitar to a strange song in an equally peculiar outfit. You might just laugh a bit.

This next bit of WTF content isn't designed so much for entertainment, but I couldn't help letting out a small "heh" when I read it. You see, Circuit City may have gone up and bust, but those guys will get their settlement money any way possible, and this includes giving up the information on their some 30 million customers. The contact information for these customers is being sold to the highest bidder in an auction along with the company's other intellectual property including their brand firedog.
So what's included in this information on the customers? Apparently it's "essentially a mailing list" of all their past customers. If you ever filled out a form or gave your name and phone number, you're probably on the list. Ah well, with all the big brother junk going on and the increasing lack of privacy, this is just another link in the ever tightening chain. What's one more link right?
This little video is in German, but I'm pretty sure you'll all be able to understand. It's title means "Ten Drugs You Should Take When Driving" or something similar. It's hilarious! I love them all, but the absinthe is pretty great!
